Everything said was very logical. But, think about this, what if you wrote a catchier title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a title to possibly grab people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You should peek at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create post titles to grab people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab people excited about what you've written. Just my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.
